Job Summary: The Safety Officer will be responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe work environment by implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and a proactive approach to risk management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for HSE-related work on the well site and warehouse, including site inspection, report submission etc.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and education to employees.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or above majorly in Petroleum-related, mechanical-related, safety engineering, project management, and other related or similar fields.
- Less than a year experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as EXCEL, WORD, PPT PROJECT, etc.
- With an HSE-related training certificate, priority will be given to NEBOSH certificate holders, a well-control certificate, including IADC or IWCF, is preferred.
- Good professional English skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Be able to work under pressure, hard-working, good at self-motivated, and energetic.
- Support the corporate culture and policies of CNOOC and conscientiously implement the company’s policies.
- Follow the arrangement of the team leader and have a correct attitude towards work.
