Job Title:   Operations Supervisor

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

Reports to: General Manager

About the Company:

Yo-Waste is a garbage collection and waste recycling company whose mission is to build zero waste communities, one city at a time. This starts by making sure waste never ends up in illegal dumps in our communities but rather goes to re-using & recycling. We believe technology is important for creating an effective and transparent circular waste company in Africa.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee waste collection operations and ensure timely and efficient service to residential and commercial clients.
• Manage a team of waste collection truck drivers and laborers, assigning routes and tasks as needed.
• Monitor and maintain the condition and functionality of waste collection trucks and equipment.
• Collection of payments from customers.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, customers, and management.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in outdoor environments
• Commitment to safety protocols and understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Previous experience in waste management, collection, or related fields may be preferred.
