Job Title: Mechanical Technician

The company’s manufacturing portfolio includes Point of Care tests, Molecular Diagnostics tests and Research and development in the neglected tropical diseases.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- System Repair: Diagnose and repair issues in HVAC systems, air conditioners, and compressors to ensure reliable performance. Perform corrective repairs as needed to restore equipment to full functionality.
- Installation: Install HVAC systems, including compressors, air conditioning units, and ventilation equipment, in compliance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- System Testing: Conduct tests on HVAC systems to identify malfunctions, confirm operational integrity, and ensure performance standards are consistently met.
- Troubleshooting: Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems. Use diagnostic tools to determine the root cause of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
- Preventative Maintenance: Follow a scheduled preventative maintenance program for all HVAC and refrigeration equipment to avoid breakdowns, improve efficiency, and extend equipment lifespan.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to company, industry, and local safety standards and regulations, identifying and reporting any safety issues in the field to ensure a safe working environment.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related field.
- Experience: 5 years with HVAC systems, air conditioners, and compressors.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems; skilled in repairing, and maintaining mechanical components.
