Armours of Glory Ministries (AGLOM) is a Christian founded, growing non-profit organization located in Luweero District, dedicated to supporting vulnerable and needy children in Uganda. Our purpose is to rescue these individuals from hopeless circumstances, offering them shelter, education, medical care, a loving family, and essential life skills to help them thrive. We also provide spiritual guidance to ensure they live meaningful lives and have the same opportunities in life like other children. 95% of our children are between ages (4 and 16).
Job Summary: This is a full-time on-site role for a Social Worker at AGLOM Children’s Home in Luweero. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the children, managing their welfare, collaborating with their families and communities, record keeping, writing reports and generating content for social media like photos and videos. Additionally, the Social Worker will be required to provide moral guidance to the children and work in harmony with the rest of the staff at the home.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Empathy and compassion for children and families
Knowledge of social work principles and practices
Ability to work effectively in a team
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field.
Christian and able to teach the Bible and Christian values to the children.
Living or able to move to Luweero district for the job.
Computer literate.
