Job Summary: Reporting and Data Analyst is primarily responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses of data.
He/She must be skilled at understanding and interpreting data and create reporting systems that inform decision-making processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate desired productivity and quality performance from team and stakeholders, based on defined KPIs as set by management teams across the department.
- Interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reports
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
- Collaborate with process owners to adhere to develop process and procedure manuals, standard systems and methods for managing business processes, enable sustainable improvements in business results.
- Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Identify and define new process improvement opportunities
- Relationship with key line managers and their support and commitment towards MTN Uganda.
- Reliability and functionality of IT systems and applications
- Policies; processes and procedures
- Any other duties as accorded from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education
- A relevant bachelor’s degree in computer science or related course.
Other Training:
- Foundation in data analysis, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, R, or Python.
- Experience with reporting software Power BI, or similar platforms is also required as they would need to convert
- complex data into understandable reports and visualizations.
- Certifications in data analysis, such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of data privacy standards are also essential for this role.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience.
- Experience Delivery Timelines negotiations.
- Experience in IT/Telecommunications OR related reputable organization.
- Experience in Coordination of multiple Vendors.
- Experience in an OSS/BSS environment.
