Job Summary: The jobholder will be charged with the compilation and review of monthly management accounts for accuracy, quality control and completeness and ensure the same is completed within the stipulated deadlines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of management accounts. Ensure accuracy and quality control.
- Preparation and review of ALCO reports.
- Maintenance of the fixed assets register and ensure compliance with the fixed assets policy.
- Daily and consistent review of the trial balance with particular emphasis on income/expense ledgers. Ensure correctness of postings and prompt reversals of mis postings.
- Ensure correct and timely submission of payroll returns and installment tax to the regulatory authorities.
- Accurately prepare Bank of Uganda returns and ensuring these are accurate and submitted in line with the prudential guidelines.
- Review of LPO/Invoices to ensure accuracy and in line with the budget provisions. Also ensure the documents are duly authorized before posting into the Core Banking System.
- Continuous automation of management reports to achieve efficiency.
- Assist the Finance Manager with financial planning and budget preparation
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Working Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience preferably gained in the financial services industry.
Education and Professional Qualification:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
- CPA Part Qualification – at Level III
