About the Company:
Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible to the Director, Physical for performing the following duties:-
- Developing and reviewing land surveying and management plans and setting benchmarks for implementation of the planned projects in line with the Authority’s objectives;
- Developing and reviewing surveying and land management policies and guidelines at KCCA, in line with the applicable laws;
- Initiating, reviewing and providing technical advice to Management on implementation of surveying and land management policies, in line with the Authority’s objectives;
- Initiating and implementing surveying and land management reforms in KCCA in line with land management laws;
- Planning and reviewing land registration processes, creating a data bank for land information system at KCCA in line with the Authority’s objectives;
- Developing and reviewing the system for monitoring implementation of surveying activities at KCCA, as per the KCCA objectives;
- Managing performance and developing staff under direct supervision as per the Human Resources Performance Management Policy;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Minimum Qualification
- Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying and Geomatics; or Land Surveying and Geo Spatial Science; or Land Surveying and Information Systems; or Land Economics; or Land Valuation plus a Masters Degree in the above fields from a recognized University/ Institution.
- Applicants should be registered with the relevant professional bodies.
Working Experience
- Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been gained at Assistant Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or equivalent level from a reputable organization
