Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, committed and highly talented individual for the role of Associate-Audit and Assurance (7) for our Uganda office
The successful candidates will work as part of the team carrying out audit testing os instructed and gaining an understanding of the fundamental principles of the audit process and contributing to the successful completion of audit engagements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct audit engagements under supervision.
- Perform audit tests and procedures, including examining financial records, verifying figures, reviewing internal controls, and testing transactions.
- Consistently comply with established quality control procedures.
- Prepare clear and concise documentation of audit findings, including work papers, conclusions, and recommendations
- Complete all assigned audit tasks accurately and on time.
- Maintain organized and detailed records o audit work completed.
- Ensure adherence to the firm’s audit methodology, guidelines, and audit procedures.
- Ensure that all work is performed with high ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The ideal candidates should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related field.
- One year experience in external audit is an added advantage.
- Level 2 CPA or ACCA progress.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
- Basic knowledge of IFRS, ISA and GAAP
- Basic understanding of the audit process.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
