Job Title:    Senior Solar Sales Executive (3 Jobs)

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

About the Company:

StarTimes is currently operating in over 30 countries in Africa and leading Pay TV Company in Uganda and with its HQ in Beijing China. StarTimes also manufactures TV sets of StarTimes brand with inbuilt decoder and comes in different sizes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sales Strategy Development: able to develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets for solar products, Identify and target potential customers in both urban and rural areas.
• Customer Relationship Management: Should be able to build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Product Knowledge and Training: should be able to stay updated on the latest solar products and technologies.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the solar industry, to analyze competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
• Credit Sales Management: to develop and manage credit sales programs to ensure timely payments and minimize defaults, should be able to work closely with the finance team to assess customer creditworthiness.
• Promotional Activities: Plan and execute promotional campaigns to increase product awareness and sales, participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and other marketing events with the finance team to assess customer creditworthiness.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the solar industry.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of credit sales processes and financial management.
• Additional requirements: Language: Proficiency in English and local languages. Travel: Willingness to travel within Uganda as required.
