Job Summary:   To manage, grow and drive revenue and profitability in the sales function; co-ordinate both foreign currency and fixed income business between sale dealers and clients as well as market the bank’s treasury products with a view of meeting the approved treasury sales budget.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales and Revenue Generation

  • Price and engage with clients to drive revenue generation and balance sheet management.
  • Drive sales initiatives, for example, growing volumes vs profitability.
  • Collaborate with other departments to market FX and Fixed Income products to corporate, retail, and SME clients, aiming to enhance business turnover and profitability.
  • Monitor and optimize financial markets, economic indicators, and interest rate movements.
  • Analyse market conditions to provide timely and relevant advice to clients.
  • Design and implement strategic plans based on the bank’s risk appetite
  • Execute forex and fixed income transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Coordinate with trading desks and other internal teams to ensure seamless deal execution.
  • Prepare and review necessary documentation for fixed income transactions.

Client Relationship Management

  • Implement an effective relationship management system for treasury customers, aligning with customer expectations and the Bank’s customer service strategy.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Understand clients’ financial needs and provide appropriate fixed income solutions.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including research, trading, and compliance.
  • Work closely with colleagues to achieve overall treasury and bank objectives

Product Knowledge and Development

  • Innovation in the products and delivery in the Treasury business to the Bank customers.
  • Stay informed about forex and fixed income products, market trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Educate clients on various forex and fixed income instruments offered by the bank.
  • Prepare growth plans and develop new products.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Provide leadership to a team of Treasury sales dealers.
  • Set business targets for sales dealers.
  • Budget for future needs of the treasury department.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor risks within the treasury department, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and control requirements, while supporting the risk function and closure of audit issues.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with fixed income transactions.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies as needed.

Reporting and Performance Tracking

  • Track product sales and performance on an on-going basis.
  • Generate regular reports on fixed income sales performance.
  • Provide updates to management on market developments and client interactions.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A master’s degree in business, finance or management is required, A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management and finance ACI Dealing Certification

Work Experience:

  • At least 6 years working experience in a commercially oriented organization with at least 2 years at managerial level.
