Job Summary: The Packaging officer is responsible for, performing manual tasks (weighing, packing, counting, verifying and conducting quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Packaging Process:
- Execute tasks in the packaging process, including product feeding, labeling, sealing, and packing of products.
- Ensure products are packaged in compliance with company standards, following specifications and quality guidelines.
- Perform quality control checks throughout the packaging process, including verifying labeling, seal integrity, weight checks, and product count.
Quality Assurance and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of production, including counts, weights, and any quality deviations.
- Adhere to quality control processes and report any discrepancies or quality issues.
- Document activities according to company standards for record-keeping and traceability.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety guidelines and ensure a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to hygiene practices as required by the industry.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) if applicable.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Certificate/ diploma in any related field
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and meet production targets.
- Strong attention to detail to detect and prevent quality issues.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and accessing production systems.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle repetitive tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends or overtime, based on production demands.
