About Organisation:
The Government of Uganda has received financing of US$ 150 million from the World Bank towards support to the 3-year Uganda Secondary Education Expansion Project (USEEP) under the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES). The project became effective on 19″ May 2022 and is expected to close by 31» December, 2025.
USEEP comprises of four Components including; (i) Expansion of Lower Secondary Education; (ii) Hosting Community and Refugee Education Support; (iii) Improving Teachers’ Support and Strategy Development Nationally; and (iv) Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation.
Job Summary: Responsible for the financial management function of USEEP. Hel She will manage and monitor all the financial activities of the project in line with the international and the Government of Uganda (GoU) financial regulations and performing analytical work on financial management and financial accountability issues.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honours Bachelors Degree in commerce Accounting option), Business; or Administration (Accounting option) or; Accounting or; Finance.
- A Master’s Degree in Financial Management or, Business Administration or related fields will be an added advantage.
- Applicants should have full professional qualifications in ACCA or СРА
- Applicants should have seven (7) years of practical working experience in financial management or related accounting duties in a public or private institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial and accounting procedures of Government of Uganda, World Bank or other Multilateral Development Banks is essential.
- Experience in Finance and Administration is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of the Government of Uganda IFMS system is desirable.
