Job Summary:   We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Quality Lab Technician to join our client’s team, contributing to the success of their laboratory operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collecting, Receiving, labeling and Analyzing samples
• Designing and executing laboratory testing in line with standard testing procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings.
• safely storing samples to be tested
• Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report
• Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment
• Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs
• Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field
• Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results
• Design and execute laboratory testing according standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings
• Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of samples using refined scientific methods
• Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions
• Conduct inspections and audits of production processes, materials, components, and finished products or services to identify quality issues, defects, or non-conformities.
• Review specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to understand quality requirements, tolerances, and acceptance criteria for raw material and finished product
• Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests using precision tools, equipment, and instruments to verify product dimensions, appearance, and functionality.
• Monitor adherence to quality standards, work instructions, and regulatory requirements throughout the production process, ensuring compliance with ISO, FDA, or industry-specific quality standards.
• Conduct supplier quality assessments and inspections, evaluating supplier performance, capabilities, and adherence to quality standards, and communicating feedback to suppliers.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in quality management practices, participating in training programs, seminars, and professional development activities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Diploma in Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in a quality department, preferably within an oil mill or related industry.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to discuss and interpret test results.
• High ethical values, with a commitment to quality and safety in all operations.
