Job Title: Quality Assurance Executive

Duty Station: Kibonwa- Kyanamugera, Kassanda District, Uganda
About the Company:
Imani Harvest Limited is a fruit processing company
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspection of incoming raw materials (fruits/ packing materials etc.) according to the raw materials specification.
- Inspection of process activities as per the defined time intervals.
- Check the finished products according to the finish products specifications.
- Monitor the packing operation closely.
- Ensure all the quality records are updated in given frequencies.
- Educate the factory staff for correct procedures.
- Timely communication of all major non conformities to Head of Quality.
- Carry out the lab testings as per the given schedules. Timely inform of deviation of lab results to Head of quality.
- Calibration of factory / lab instruments for given schedule.
- Raise the non-conformity report when necessary.
- Communicate identified building & fabrication issues, cleaning employee hygiene issues to relevant department heads.
- Release the production lines for operation after cleaning / hygiene verification.
- Monitor the GMP points/ OPRP points and CCP points in predefined intervals.
- Check freezers, cool rooms at defined intervals.
- Active participation for internal & external audits.
- Perform the work given by Head of Quality/Lab manager relevant to the Quality department function.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Graduate in Science/Agriculture/Food Technology in a recognized University.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Executive or similar role.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work at night
- Working well within a team
- Essential knowledge of basic software, such as Word and Excel
- Knowledge of GMP
- Knowledge of HACCP is added advantage
