Exim Bank (Uganda) (EBU), commonly known as Exim Bank, is a commercial bank in Uganda. It is one of the commercial banks licensed by the Bank of Uganda (BOU), the central bank and national banking regulator.
Job Summary: The Products Manager will lead innovation and streamline efforts to deliver a compelling, competitively priced value proposition for existing and prospective clients. This role ensures effective management across key areas including research and development, product marketing and sales, capacity building and training, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and product testing and launching.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Market Research and Product Development: Lead the process of banking products research to understand market trends, preferences, changes, and competition. Develop innovative and creative product solutions based on findings.
Product Performance Management: Conduct ongoing product reviews, analyze industry dynamics, competitor developments, and market intelligence. Manage in-life product performance, including sales, margin, and churn, using extensive numerical analysis.
Project Management: Oversee all product testing, integration, launches, and changes throughout implementation Ensure timely delivery of product/service enhancements.
Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with IT, finance, sales, marketing, product development, and operations to ensure seamless product implementation and performance
Training and Development: Develop and conduct specialized training on new products/ product changes and their impacts on customers, operations, systems, and processes.
Team Leadership; Take full responsibility for the performance management of all direct reports, focusing on recruitment, development, performance management, remuneration, rewards, career path planning, on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in banking, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role
Good knowledge and understanding of key ADC (Alternate Delivery Channels) products such as mobile banking, internet banking, and card technologies.

Expand and maintain the bank’s corporate client base, driving profitability through exceptional relationship management and service
Key Attributes:
Proven track record in the development and management of banking products and services through alternative channels.
Strong analytical, product management, problem-solving, decision-making, financial management, and budget planning skills
Ability to work with IT personnel to articulate business requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Excel.
Knowledge of commercial payments, banking, and cash management.
Excellent project planning and management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with other teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
