Job Summary: The Audit Assistant will support the Audit Department in handling various Audit-related assignments around the firm. Role/Purpose: To support in all Audit duties around the firm.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in and train in the preparation of client financials.
- Train in completing medium-level client files with the assistance of audit seniors [from scoping to forming opinions on individual client file areas]
- Fully orient yourself into the Forvis Mazars BRJ team
- Read and understand the firm’s audit manual (excluding chapters on groups etc.)
- Explore and commence further learning and training on audit related issues – risks/controls etc
- Understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives.
- Coordinating the collection of information/documents internally to respond to queries raised by auditors and tax authorities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Punctuality and attentiveness.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time.
- Minimum of Second Upper’s degree in any field.
