Job Summary: The Treasury Officer will report to the Treasury Manager Fixed Income and ALCO and will be based at Head office. He/ she will be responsible for monitoring the cash position and implement short-term investment strategies to maximize yield as per Pride’s policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update investment schedule
- Carry market research to determine market trends
- Monitoring cash and bank balances to ensure sound liquidity Management.
- Negotiate for competitive prices for both assets and liabilities to achieve a stable net income.
- Ensure compliance to cash management procedures.
- Maintain good relationship with customers and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure compliance.
- Submit bank statements to branches.
- Undertake foreign exchange trading for both wholesale and retail clients.
- Undertake mobile money /Agency Banking Operations in Treasury.
- Carry out any other duties in the Department.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics and any other related field.
- At least two years’ experience in a financial institution within the treasury department.
- He/she should not be more than 40 years of age.
