About Organisation:

Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP) under the PEPFAR program has provided a grant to Lugazi Diocese/MUWRP Program, to improve HIV and TB Prevention, care and treatment services through Health System Strengthening in the districts of Kayunga, Mukono, Buvuma, Nakasongola and Luwero. Lugazi Diocese-MUWRP program invites qualified persons to support implementation of the DREAMS program among vulnerable and at-risk Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), and to reach Adolescent Boys and Young Men (ABYM), with HIV and violence prevention interventions especially in locations of high gender-based violence and violence against children in Kayunga District.

 

Job Summary:   Field Coordinator will support in Coordinating, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all community-based programs and ensure compliancy with MUWRP and PEPFAR requirements. Generate demand for HIV prevention and care services with special focus on Adolescent girls and young women, & Adolescent boys and young Men

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Program planning and implementation

Developing annual and quarterly project activity and budget plans in coordination with the Project Management team.

Guiding the project teams in developing detailed implementation plans based on the yearly plans

Conducting regular meetings with the Assistant Program coordinator to review work plans and to ensure the timely execution of the activities

Work with community structures and health facilities to build harmonized linkage, referral and follow up systems.

Creating partnerships with different stakeholders as well as maintaining, managing and developing excellent relationship building abilities.

Hold meetings with relevant stakeholders in their different capacities and conducting project/program discussions on behalf of the organization

Ensure proper implementation and timely execution of planned intervention strategies in an orderly manner to achieve project efficiency.

Timely compilation and submission of periodic progress reports to inform planning and decision making.

Compile and submit periodic best practices, lessons learnt and success stories to inform planning.

Support the timely enrollment and screening and service layering of the right AGYWS on the program

Monitoring and Evaluation and Reporting

Ensuring proper monitoring and evaluation (M & E) of the project outcomes along with partner organizations’ M&E tools and system.

Participate in the internal weekly/Monthly meetings and ensure that the team provides field updates for weekly and monthly reporting.

Ensure timely reporting and documentation of best practices

Support project management teams in setting up project databases, tracking project progress, outcomes, and log-frame indicators

Providing monthly summary reports, quarterly narrative reports, and annual reports in coordination with the Program Coordinators

Provide updates regarding program status, challenges, and opportunities.

Support analysis and validation of routine program data to support implementation, routine program monitoring and adoption of best practices.

Work with MUWRP and relevant district-based structures to support monitoring and reporting of Lugazi Diocese/MUWRP DREAMS Program

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Academic Requirement

A Bachelor’s Degree on Social Work and Social Administration, Development from a recognized University.

A post graduate diploma in project planning and management will be an added advantage.

Extensive experience in program implementation, human resources, and financial management

Outstanding interpersonal and coordination skills as well as the ability to create networks

Strong organizational skills, task prioritization, and attention to detail

Excellent report-writing skills

Excellent I

T skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Fluent in English, both verbal communication and writing

Experience in working with teams is an advantage.
