Job Summary:   We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Business Development Officer in Jubilee Life Insurance Company of Uganda. The position holder will report to the Head of Corporate Business and will be based at Head Office in Kampala.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Converting prospects into customers and offering alternative products to clients.
  • Building strong business relationships with our customers and new group clients.
  • Ensuring that quotations are generated and submitted in time to
  • prospective customers.
  • Ensuring that all invoices are generated and submitted to clients in a timely manner.
  • Sending weekly reports and pipeline updates,
  • Ensure customer inquiries and complaints are promptly and effectively resolved.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Safeguard customer information and ensuring confidentiality.

 

Key Deliverables

  • Meeting set targets and Retention while maintaining high levels of market engagements
  • Ensure new customers are onboarded with accurate knowledge of the products
  • Weekly reporting on business activities and pipelines.
  • Monitor all tender requests and ensure accurate and
  • timely submission.
  • Contribute to the growth of pensions business by identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and generating referrals.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, Marketing or any other related field.
  • Diploma in Insurance.

Relevant Experience

  • At least two years’ experience in a similar role.

Key Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Dedication to understanding and meeting customer needs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
