About the Company:

Uganda Development Trust (UDET) is a consulting firm that provides Business Development Services {EDS} directly to grassroots community groups and SMEs engaged in businesses that are aimed at improving the living economic conditions of marginalized people, creating gainful employment and sustainable market outlets for smallholder farmers in Uganda. Currently, UDET is the Strategic Partner of the United States African Development Foundation [USADF] in Uganda.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting grantees to develop bankable business plans.
  • Conduct due diligence on all potential grantees to ensure they meet the USADF funding criteria.
  • Develop financial projections for businesses/SMEs seeking financial assistance to assess business viability.
  • Assist each funded business to develop financial goals and performance indicators to be used in measuring and validating the expected results.
  • Conduct industry and market analyses to establish opportunities for business growth
  • Reviewing, grantee quarterly reports to assess progress against performance indicators and implementation plans.
  • Regularly monitor all on-going projects and businesses that have problems and assist them to work out appropriate solutions in a timely manner.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance or Marketing or any other related business qualifications.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and management of business enterprises.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in conducting due diligence on potential grantees.
  • Must be competent and familiar with computer-based models that are commonly used in financial analysis.
  • Good English writing skills is highly desirable.
