The Group, which is operational in East Africa services to more than 1.2 million customers across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan. The UAP Old Mutual Group now comprises of three key players as a result of the acquisition of a controlling stake in Faulu in 2014 and UAP in 2015 by Old Mutual. The acquisitions resulted in Old Mutual Kenya UAP Holdings and Faulu Microfinance Bank, forming one of the largest financial services groups with a growing footprint in East and Central Africa. UAP and Old Mutual have been major players in the financial services market in East Africa for decades. The two entities have vast experience in Insurance, Investment, Asset Management and Banking, and are passionate about helping our customers achieve their financial goals.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

To develop and grow the business by driving a good relationship between clients, agents and brokers in a manner that ensures achievement of set business targets

To execute the company’s distribution strategy to achieve profitable growth and market leadership

To develop informal & formal SMEs customers and distribute corporate solutions in partnership umbrella bodies, aggregators, Insuretechs, Fintechs and Associations

To participate in research and product development, testing and roll out of relevant, affordable and unique products.

To create special partnerships with Banks, schools, Telecommunications, and other institutions to act as aggregators of bulk insurance products and provide responses to queries raised regarding the company’s products.

To Monitor renewals before due date to ensure targeted renewal level is achieved.

To manage correspondences relating to Agents, brokers, direct clients and other alternate distribution partners.

Effectively create new client relationships and partnerships whilst ensuring retention of existing business relationships through high standards of customer service

Drive Sustainable growth of the assigned portfolios to a achieve the set standards target

Ensure Customer inquiries are resolved promptly as per laid down policies and procedures.

Champion Insurance product training Management, sensitize customers on insurance products.

Share market analysis & market trends and preparing forecasts.

Develop sales & marketing strategies aimed at increasing uptake of employee benefits covers to achieve the targeted market share.

Coordinating marketing strategies with the sales, financial, marketing, and underwriting departments.

Developing innovative ideas aimed to scaling uptake group business and reducing the cost of distribution leveraging on partnerships and use of modern technology

Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly and annual reports with key insights to stimulate increased visibility and overall performance

Promoting our brand at trade shows/ AGMs/Conferences and other major industry-related events

Daily servicing of clients to nurture the relationship between the company and our customers

Follow up on renewals to retain business

 




Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

Education

Bachelors Degree (B): Marketing Communication (Required)
