About the Company:
Uganda Post Limited, trading as Posta Uganda. UPL is the most extensive provider of postal services in Uganda, having an extensive network of postal delivery outlets down to sub-county level.
Job Summary: Ensure that processes pertaining to mail quality and service delivery standards related to UPL are complied with.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data collection and analysis of mail volumes handled at DPOs and Office of Exchange and disseminate results in a timely manner and ensure regular submission of monthly reports from DPOs and Office of Exchange.
- Establish and maintain reliable mechanisms for testing quality and analyzing the results obtained.
- Ensure operating arrangements meet targets for connection to international conveyance and analyze conveyance reports, Identify poor routes and advise on alternative routes/airlines.
- Check airline handover times and discuss remedial actions with airlines/agents and obtain details of violations/losses/damage and discuss with airlines, ensure feedback is gotten from clients, especially corporate clients.
- Prepare and distribute forms for checks to be made and ensure timely collection, when complete, highlight any problems and difficulties, analyze results and ensure feedback is communicated.
- Measure and publish standards for all products and services by sensitizing staff to quality standards and publishing them to all stakeholders.
- Receive details of operational failures and help coordinate remedial action.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Honors) in statistics or economics.
Working Experience
- A minimum of four (04) years working experience in mail handling, data collection and analysis from a reputable organization.
Competencies
- Data analysis and management abilities
- Computer applications
- Report writing
- Monitoring & Evaluation
