Finance Trust Bank (FTB) was licensed as a Tier 1 Commercial Bank on 11^th November, 2013, taking over the financial services business of Uganda Finance Trust Limited (MDI). Today, Finance Trust Bank is a fully-fledged commercial bank serving a clientele of over 500,000 depositors and over 37,000 borrowers, through a network of 34 branches countrywide. The bank offers a variety of Products and services including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.

Job Summary: The Security Officer will be responsible for all matters relating to the security of the bank’s premises, property staff, customers, emergencies and evacuations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective implementation and enforcement of security systems and procedures that provide a safe and secure environment for business operations in the bank.
• Ensure bank premises are well prepared in case of fire, and other threats that may disrupt operations.
• Ensure that all security systems are in good working condition and liaise with Administration Manager to ensure that any malfunction is promptly attended to and rectified within agreed service standards.
• Provide guidance on best practice security standards and solutions and maintain a secure environment.
• Carry out security and safety awareness training for staff.
• Conduct thorough and comprehensive investigations relating to security incidents, manage scenes of crime and liaise with law enforcers and security service providers.
• Conducting security risk assessment.
• Any other work-related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from a recognized University.
• At least five years of experience gained via service in the police, military, security Agency or in a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Proven Knowledge of national security laws and procedures
• Excellent Command of written and spoken English.
• Good communication skills.
