Double Q Co. Ltd is the leading and authorized distributor of SINOTRUK and XCMG road equipment, as well as spare parts and accessories for heavy machines and trucks in Uganda. This includes trucks, mobile cranes and excavators, as well as product related service offerings such as: vehicle financing, insurance, GPS and rental services to enable our clients to focus on their core business.
Job Summary: The Sales Manager will oversee the sales operations for both box bodies and forklifts, managing a team of sales professionals to achieve revenue targets and expand our market presence. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of the automotive and material handling industries, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals for box bodies and forklifts.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets for box bodies and forklifts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Oversee the development of proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations to secure new business.
Client and Market Engagement:
- Act as a key point of contact for major clients, addressing their needs and providing expert advice on product offerings.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities in collaboration with the marketing team.
Sales Administration:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of sales orders, contracts, and documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the product development and production teams to ensure alignment between sales and operational capabilities.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to manage product delivery and installation schedules effectively.
- Provide feedback and insights to the product development team based on customer and market feedback.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within the automotive or material handling industries.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a sales team and achieving sales targets for box bodies and forklifts or similar products.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of box body and forklift products and their applications.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
