Job Summary: We are looking for a Regional Team Leader (f/m/d). The position will be based in Luweero and reports directly to FSU Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to achieve targets and goals.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Oversee the end-to-end coffee production process, ensuring efficient operations.
- Monitor and manage resources, budgets, and timelines to optimize productivity and achieve quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, processors, and distributors, to ensure seamless operations and build strong relationships.
- Represent Ibero Uganda Limited in meetings, forums, and events to enhance collaboration and promote the coffee sector.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of coffee quality throughout the production process.
- Ensure compliance with coffee regulations, environmental standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, demand patterns, and consumer preferences within the coffee sector.
- Develop strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
- Coordinate training programs and workshops for coffee sector team members to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring continuous professional development.
- Provide technical guidance on best practices in coffee cultivation, processing, and market positioning.
- Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and expenditures for the region’s operations.
- Monitor financial performance and take appropriate actions to achieve financial targets.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the regional performance, key achievements, challenges, and action plans to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to coffee production in the region, quality control, and market trends.
- Any other official duties as required by the immediate Supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: *
- Bachelor’s Degree: Preferably in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the coffee industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience in coffee processing, quality control, and production management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Experience in developing and executing work plans and schedules.
- Basic understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and build strong relationships with farmers and suppliers.
- Passionate about coffee and committed to quality.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Willingness to travel to various locations, including coffee farms and processing facilities.
