About the Company:
Uganda Post Limited, trading as Posta Uganda. UPL is the most extensive provider of postal services in Uganda, having an extensive network of postal delivery outlets down to sub-county level.
Job Summary: Ensure efficient Post Bus operations and accountability of collected revenues to meet the set performance targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check that the money and associated documentation for the Post Bus daily collections are accurate
- Gather and add Post Bus income information to the Post Bus database.
- Prepare and submit reports on revenue against targets for each route, along with the corresponding personnel, on time.
- Capture, organize, clarify and evaluate every expense associated with the Post Bus activity.
- Examine, confirm and balance all requests and claims for parking and loading fees with the money paid on the way by the Post Bus crew.
- Reconcile with Strong Room to ensure that all advance bookings collections are banked intact.
- Monitor and keep track of the serial numbers of receipt books and e-tickets at Counters advance booking and onboard the buses to prevent fraud.
- Prepare and submit monthly financial analysis reports for the Post Bus operation
- Maintain a record of the fleet’s insurance cover and initiate alerts for renewal of insurance in good time prior to expiry
- Follow up traffic cases involving buses in order to have the cases quickly resolved and minimize fleet downtime.
- Perform any other duties assigned from time to time within the Company’s framework

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
- An Honor’s Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management.
- Preference shall be given to applicants with a bias in Accounting.
Working experience
- At least three (03) years working experience in the transport sector
- Demonstrable skill in managing Revenue Accounting
Competences
- Sound knowledge of transportation regulations
- Good customer care
- Good communication
- Technology proficiency
- Financial data analysis
- Good report writing skills
