Job Summary: The Welding Inspector is to inspect and ensure that proper welding procedures are qualified and utilized, the welders are qualified, sound welds are produced, and proper documentation is maintained.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administration of welding control system.
- Monitor welding activities, inspection, and test in accordance with the approved Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan, Procedures, etc.
- Promote quality awareness.
- Assist review of project Quality Plan, ITP, and all pertained QA/QC documentation prior to any fabrication/construction activity
- Identify non-conformities and take appropriate action to control / prevent any occurrence.
- Establish and implement Piping QC quality requirements.
- Responsible for WPS/WPQR verification, application of PWHT and NDE acceptance.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum 3 experience in Piping Engineering/Construction and QA/QC function/inspections in Oil and Gas industry.
- AWS CWI and ASNT Level II or above at least in RT, UT, MT; or equivalent
- Proficient in English, Office Software.
