About the Company:
Exim Bank (Uganda) (EBU), commonly known as Exim Bank, is a commercial bank in Uganda. It is one of the commercial banks licensed by the Bank of Uganda (BOU), the central bank and national banking regulator.

 

Job Summary:   Responsible for developing and maintaining digital solutions that enhance our customer experience and working closely with senior developers and IT professionals to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with the Bank’s business goals.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain software applications using .NET, C#, .NET Core, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement APIs and integrations with various systems.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
  • Ensure software quality through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Document development processes, code changes, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

Academic and professional requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience of 2 Years).
  • Working knowledge of .NET, C#, .NET Core, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Database Management Systems (DBMS), particularly Oracle and Microsoft solutions, with experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.

Skills & Competencies.

  • Experience in software development, especially agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of web services, APIs, and integration techniques.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to learning and professional development & Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
