Exim Bank (Uganda) (EBU), commonly known as Exim Bank, is a commercial bank in Uganda. It is one of the commercial banks licensed by the Bank of Uganda (BOU), the central bank and national banking regulator.
Job Summary: Responsible for developing and maintaining digital solutions that enhance our customer experience and working closely with senior developers and IT professionals to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with the Bank’s business goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain software applications using .NET, C#, .NET Core, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement APIs and integrations with various systems.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
- Ensure software quality through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Document development processes, code changes, and best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Academic and professional requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience of 2 Years).
- Working knowledge of .NET, C#, .NET Core, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Familiarity with Database Management Systems (DBMS), particularly Oracle and Microsoft solutions, with experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Skills & Competencies.
- Experience in software development, especially agile development methodologies.
- Understanding of web services, APIs, and integration techniques.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to learning and professional development & Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
