About the Company:
The WorldWide Fund for Nature (WWF) is one of the largest independent conservation organizations in the world. We are an international NGO committed to environmental protection active in almost 100 countries. WWF has a growing conservation Programme in the Republic of Uganda. WWF Uganda Country Office (WWF UCO) works with central and local government agencies, private sector, civil society organizations (CSOs) and the local communities to implement its various conservation programmes on Energy and Climate, Forestry and Wildlife, and Freshwater in Uganda.
Job Summary: The People and Culture (P&C) Intern will gain hands-on experience in managing documentation in line with People and Culture Policies. The role involves supporting staff file management, coordinating recruitment processes, and providing necessary HR support to field staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date P&C personnel records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Organize and audit staff files, filling gaps with missing documents.
- Scan and archive documents related to personal files.
- Support P&C activities as outlined in the work plan.
- Update People and Culture-related trackers.
- Prepare documents for signatures.
- Assist with recruitment activities from start to finish and file documents accordingly.
- Scan documents and distribute them to field staff.
- Facilitate exit processes for departing staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, graduated between 2021 and 2024.
- Minimum GPA of 4.0.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships in a multicultural environment.
- Effective team player with strong time management and planning skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and documentation.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask with minimal supervision.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and innovative problem-solving skills.
