Treescape Planet is a non-governmental organization dedicated to sustainable development through afforestation, agroforestry, and re-afforestation in Uganda. Our mission is to empower communities to champion environmental conservation while enhancing livelihoods and resilience.

 

Job Summary:   We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our Fundraising Team. As a Fundraising Team Member, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by developing and implementing fundraising strategies, engaging with potential donors, and helping to organize fundraising events and campaigns.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and executing fundraising plans and strategies.
  • Identify and reach out to potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, both virtual and in-person.
  • Create engaging content for fundraising campaigns, including social media posts, newsletters, and grant proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions.
  • Collaborate with the team to track progress towards fundraising goals and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Represent Treescape Planet at events and networking opportunities.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Passion for environmental conservation and sustainable development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in fundraising or development, preferably in a non-profit setting (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with fundraising software is a plus.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to commit to a flexible schedule, including occasional evening or weekend work.
