Job Summary: GIZ is recruiting a Junior Communications Specialist to support implementation of Communications, Public Relations (PR) and Knowledge Management (KM) tasks at both cluster and project level.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Junior Communications Specialist will be responsible for;
- Engages in general day to day tasks e.g communications support, social media engagement, media monitoring, writing and editing, proof reading and events management
- Contributes to the development, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of a Cluster Communications, PR and KM strategy.
- Implements cluster KM activities, e.g. gathering, storage and retrieval of relevant information to foster easy and timely access to it, and reduce on duplication.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations, Marketing, or any related field.
Professional Experience
- 2 years of professional experience in the field of communications (media and PR work, events management, social media engagement and internal communication).
- Experience in strategic communication planning, implementation, budgeting, and/or strategy monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience in knowledge management.
- Proven experience in content/media development, writing and/or editorial work and social media.
