Job Summary: We’re looking for a proactive Safety & Operations Officer to join our client’s team, driving the success and safety of their operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily reporting of POB statistics, weekly environmental records, and managing bookings for personnel at KF camp.
- Track and report weekly KF worksite information and follow-up on relevant matters.
- Collect and analyze data for monthly HSE reports, including hidden danger management points and STOP cards.
- Assist with material management, formulating control measures, and ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Collect training records and translate HSE materials as required.
- Prepare and review English versions of QHSE training materials and management documents.
- Communicate with contractors regarding operation safety and oversee HSE management of local contractors.
- Participate in work safety meetings and prepare safety reminder materials.
- Supervise on-site safety within Uganda, collect daily safety reports, and manage information statistics.
- Monitor local news and release safety-related information promptly, issuing warnings based on early alerts.
- Ensure compliance with local HSE laws and regulations in Uganda.
- Assist in emergency handling and coordination.
- Establish and maintain effective Risk Management and Claims processes.
- Train subordinates, ensuring they are qualified and experienced to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
- Support and maintain the integrated management system for the company.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Experience in onshore drilling and completion with operational knowledge.
- At least 1 year of experience in operation coordination management.
- Strong leadership, team training, and petroleum industry knowledge.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and execution skills.
- Proficiency in English and strong computer skills.
- Age under 45.
- Commitment to QHSE management objectives.
