Job Summary: The Operations & Compliance Officer is responsible for managing and supervising the daily technical operations of NLS Waste Services Ltd, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements, legislation, and regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer health, safety, and environment policies and procedures
- Coordinate staff training and development
- Plan and direct waste operations, maintenance, and site services
- Ensure adherence to regulations and legislation
- Manage license renewals and environmental audits
- Coordinate staff training and development
- Participate in budget development and insurance policy administration
- Oversee private contractors and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field
- Knowledge of operations management and organizational effectiveness
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Understanding of waste management health, safety, and environment principles
- Ability to lead and manage teams
