About the Company:
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is established as a Statutory Body under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210. The Bureau is a key player in Commercial, Civil and Intellectual Property Rights Registration that facilitate private sector development and vital statistics for national planning.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts field investigations into any reported or suspected improprieties and obtains further evidence.
- Carries out field investigations into conduct of businesses of insolvent companies.
- Prepares regular reports to the Senior Investigation Officer
- Prepares and submits regular reports as and when required.
- Assesses the scope and determines the methodology needed to carry out an efficient investigation, including the need to evaluate the demand for specialized assistance and support.
- Attends court as a witness, gives evidence during trials on behalf of the Official Receiver.
- Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Senior Investigation Officer
Key Outputs
- To carry out investigations on persons (natural and corporate) who are under the control of the Official Receiver
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honors’ University Degree in Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from recognized institution.
