Job Summary: To provide specialist advise and support in the preparation, development and analysis of financial data relating to support functions, to inform decisions while enhancing stability, growth & profitability, through the execution of predefined objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Accountability: Business Partnering
- Manage the business performance reporting of costs both operating and capital to support delivery of financial targets.
- Carry out regular communications with the various business function on issues relating to costs, provide commentary & improvement initiatives such as cost saving initiatives.
- Support the preparation of segmental cost reports in conjunction with the Finance Business Partners.
- Support the CFO in development and execution of cost saving initiatives to drive value for the Bank
- Support the Revised Annual Forecast (RAF), Short Term Plan (STP) and Medium-Term Plan (MTP) process by providing analytical drivers and processes of the plans
- Preparation of ALCO, Board, MBR, CMC inputs that relate to the various business and support function costs
- Carry out Revenue Assurance on a monthly to ensure income leakage is managed on the assigned Business income channels.
- Analyze and provide a detailed functional cost including actual achievements against STP/RAF targets.
- Coordinate with Group finance by providing monthly analysis of Bank costs against STP/RAF targets at a functional levels.
Accountability: Stakeholder Management
- Ensure effective and excellent communication and working relationships with colleagues in the department and the bank in general
- Ensure the process of planning/forecasting and reporting is fully coordinated and Function Heads owns numbers before reporting to Management.
- Ensure there is alignment on all financial reports across different stakeholders including the Function Head, CFO/Executive Director, Head of HR, and other relevant Centre Colleagues.
Accountability: Personal Development & Team Leadership/Management
- Deputize for the Head of MI when required.
- Provide honest, direct and constructive feedback to fellow team members.
- Share knowledge experience and best practice with team members and other Finance colleagues
- Pursue your own development to increase personal effectiveness and acknowledge strength
- Drive your own personal development plan to increase job effectiveness.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Higher Diplomas: Financial Sciences (Required)
