Job Summary: The Data Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports and dashboards to address business questions through data analysis. This role involves handling various data-related requests and enhancing data ingestion and transformation processes. SQL will be used heavily, so an advanced SQL level coupled with a strong ability to understand data are critical.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Report and Dashboard Management:
- Create, update, and maintain reports and dashboards to track various company KPIs.
- Ensure that dashboards are user-friendly and provide actionable insights for different departments.
Data Analysis:
- Utilize data analysis and statistical techniques to answer business questions and provide insights.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Management Support:
- Collaborate with the management team to understand their data needs and provide timely and accurate data solutions.
- Support a wide range of data-handling requests, including ad-hoc analyses and reporting.
Data Quality Audits:
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data quality aligns with company policies and standards.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Data Ingestion and Transformation:
- Support the creation and maintenance of back-end data ingestion processes.
- Develop and optimize data transformation workflows to ensure efficient data processing and storage.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data analysis or similar role.
- Advanced SQL skills (must).
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.
- Understanding of relational database theory, data preparation, and data acquisition.
- Bonus skills: R, Python, Google Cloud solutions (Google Data Studio, BigQuery), non-relational databases, Big Data, Git, dbt (data build tool).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Self-motivated and focused on achieving targets and goals.
- Effective team collaborator with excellent communication abilities.
