Makerere University, Kampala is Uganda’s largest and oldest institution of higher learning, first established as a technical school in 1922. It became an independent national university in 1970. Today, Makerere University is composed of nine colleges and one school offering programmes for about 36,000 undergraduates and 4,000 postgraduates.
Job Summary: Provide bindery services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bind library materials;
- Bind other scholarly works;
- Register for materials prepared, bound and kept updated;
- Bind all materials brought to the bindery;
- Initiate the purchase of binding materials;
- Provide the security of the bindery;
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A’ level Certificate;
- Certificate in book binding.
Experience
- One year working experience
Skills/Competences
- Communication and interpersonal skills;
Age Limit: APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED FIFTY FIVE (55) YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.
