Job Summary: Finance Manager needed at AAR Health Care Uganda
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Production of timely and accurate financial information.
- Ensuring appropriate approval of payments and signing of payment cheques.
- Supervision of the payroll preparation.
- Excellent treasury management to optimize on company’s liquid assets.
- Training the staff to carry out their assigned responsibilities to the expected standards.
- Supervising departmental staff to achieve the reporting deadline.
- Drive the preparation of budgets and presentation.
- Budgetary monitoring and controls.
- Preparation and monitoring of daily Cash Flows.
- Ensure effective financial controls are in place.
- Ensure proper costing of healthcare plans.
- Prepare for both internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and submit annual company returns.
- Be accountable and supervise adherence of staff to minimum standards.
- Contribute to the development and review of Business Plans/Strategies for the company.
- Work with the management team to identify opportunities for productivity improvements, via review of organisational structures, streamlining of business processes, continuous improvement, and performance management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A commerce degree and fully qualified ACCA/CPA professional.
- Master’s degree or post graduate training in a related field is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Sage Accpac.
- At least 10 years relevant experience of which 3 years are in a senior management position.
- Proven skills in budgeting, production of management accounts, monitoring and reporting,
- ICT Competency.
- Must be organized, analytical, detail and result oriented.
- Proven team player with a pleasant personality, integrity, self-motivated, possess a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, vendor relationship skills, good inter-personal skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
