Job Summary: We are actively looking for an experienced, passionate, and dynamic Film Producer with a deep understanding of Uganda’s film and television industry. This role offers the opportunity to lead the production of high-quality, impactful films that aim to inspire social change and transform communities. The ideal candidate will be a person of integrity, a champion of diversity and inclusion, and committed to nurturing the next generation of filmmakers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The Ideal candidate must:
- Have at least 5 years of experience in the film industry – preferably as a producer or director.
- Have experience in film distribution.
- Have qualifications or experience in project management and leadership of diverse teams.
- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of Uganda’s film and television industry.
- Have an understanding of social responsibility and how film can be used to drive social change and transform communities.
- Be a person of integrity and a proponent of inclusion and diversity.
- Have a deep sense of commitment and diligence.
- Be open to mentorship and nurturing young filmmakers.
- Experience in resource mobilisation, partner and stakeholder management, and budget management.
- Have a creative and innovative approach to life and work.
