In Uganda, De Heus is best known for its brand Koudijs. To extend its business in East Africa, De Heus will start local production of animal feed in Uganda and Kenya. The new plant in Uganda will produce aqua feed to power the rapidly growing aquaculture sector.
Job Summary: For our new organization in Uganda, we are looking for an Executive Assistant. This position reports directly to the Managing Director of Uganda and works closely with the rest of the team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and forwarding incoming requests. Receive incoming calls, mail, process, and dispatch mail in line
- Receive visitors and attend to their needs. Organize logistics and travel for visitors.
- Organize and coordinate calendars and events for the MT & MD
- Ensure a tidy, healthy, and clean reception area at all times in addition to public areas meeting rooms, conference rooms, public toilets, compound area, etc.
- Supporting ad hoc requests of varying nature
What do we expect from you?
- You need to be organized, flexible, person-oriented, able to multitask and resourceful.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A degree in administration / Human Resources or its equivalent
- Proven experience as a personal assistant, front desk representative or related position
- At least 3 years of work experience in an international company

Location: At the plant in Njeru (near Jinja), with regular trips to Kampala.
