Job Summary:   Our client, a logistics company, is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HR Officer to join their exceptional team.

 

As the HR Officer, you will be responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counselling.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations.
  • Identify training and development opportunities and Organize training sessions, workshops and activities.
  • Provide basic counselling to staff who have performance related obstacles
  • Collect data on leave records, sick leave, trainings and bonuses to prepare HR monthly report.
  • Input sick off and leave records into the Aruti HR & Payroll system.
  • Monthly preparation of leave balances and circulate to HODs.
  • Ensure good Industrial Relations by liaising closely with all employees.
  • Prepare and execute induction programs for all staff.
  • Ensure QMS and EOSH procedures are adhered to within the department by carrying out internal audits and raising non-conformities where applicable.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as directed by the Management.
  • Monitor staff performance and attendance activities
  • Monitor daily attendance
  • Investigate and understand causes for staff absences
  • Recommend solutions to resolve chronic attendance difficulties.
  • Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedures is used to hire staff.
  • Prepare notices and advertisements for vacant staff positions
  • Facilitate the recruitment and selection processes.
  • Produce and deliver offer letters to candidates as directed by HODs, in alignment with Company Policy and Procedures.
  • Provide information and assistance to staff and supervisors on human resource and work-related issues.
  • Handle complaints, conflicts/grievances and disputes with the help of the HOD.
  • Organize the transitional provisions of employee compensation, pay and benefits when positions are transferred.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The job holder should have the following qualifications.

  • Higher Diploma in HRM/CHRP Level six/Degree in HR or social sciences
  • Minimum of 6 years’ proven experience as a HR Officer in the logistics industry
