Reports to: Station In-Charge

 

About the Company:

Uganda Post Limited, trading as Posta Uganda. UPL  is the most extensive provider of postal services in Uganda, having an extensive network of postal delivery outlets down to sub-county level.

 

Job Summary:  Contribute towards a positive customer experience and support operational efficiency by clearing, clerical and administrative tasks.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Mail Handlers in the preparation and sorting of mail for delivery.
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties such as filing of office documents, data entry and managing records.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized office environment that is tidy and welcoming.
  • Helping customers by ensuring that their packages are securely wrapped.
  • Assisting customers with inquiries, helping them fill out forms, and providing information about postal services and products.
  • Organizing incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring it is correctly sorted and routed to the appropriate destinations.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks to keep the office environment clean and organized.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • General education with a minimum of Primary Seven/PLE.
  • A valid riding permit with class A is an added advantage

Working Experience

  • One year working experience in a similar job with a reputable organization. Competences
  • Good communication skills
  • Time management
  • Ability to work well with other members of the team
