About the Company:

Uganda Revenue Authority is a semi-autonomous Government Agency under the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development that is mandated to assess, collect and account for Government Tax and Non-Tax Revenue.

 

Job Summary:  Brand and market URA products and initiatives, and coordinate Corporate social responsibility events to enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to enhance the URA brand, ensuring consistency in messaging, visuals, and brand identity across all platforms and communications.

  • Write draft concepts for marketing the URA products and share them with the supervisor for review
  • Implement brand strategies to ensure consistency across all communication channels.
  • Ensure that all promotional materials and communications adhere to URA’s brand guidelines.
  • Maintain the visual and messaging standards of the URA brand by reviewing and approving content before it is published or distributed.
  • Participate in brand audits to assess how the URA brand is being represented internally and externally.

Implement marketing campaigns to promote URA’s products, services, and initiatives ensuring that efforts contribute to increased public awareness and engagement.

  • Implement marketing campaigns as directed by the Supervisor, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop content for marketing campaigns, including graphics, videos, and copy.
  • Track the performance of marketing campaigns and provide regular updates to the Supervisor
  • Work with the relevant service providers to ensure conformity to the agreed terms of reference

Monitor the URA brand’s presence and perception in the market, gathering data and insights for informed decision-making and strategy adjustments.

  • Respond to the user requests on specifications for using the URA brand
  • Regularly monitor media and public forums to gauge the public perception of the URA and prepare reports with relevant recommendations
  • Prepare reports on brand perception and campaign effectiveness, highlighting key insights and areas for improvement, and submit these to the Supervisor
  • Conduct internal communications and training sessions to ensure staff understand and adhere to URA’s brand guidelines and standards
  • Oversee the distribution of branding materials by ensuring accurate tracking and proper utilization as they move from storage to various users.

Coordinate corporate social responsibility initiatives ensuring they are executed effectively to enhance URA’s reputation and aligned with the organization’s values.  

  • Implement comprehensive CSR strategies that align with URA’s core values and business objectives. Ensure execution of CSR projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet the established goals and expectations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teamwork to ensure initiatives are well-coordinated and supported across the organization.
  • Prepare detailed reports on corporate social responsibility activities and share it with the supervisor





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Qualifications

  • An Honors Bachelor’s degree or its equivalency of a Masters Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or Public Relations from a recognized academic institution
  • At least two (02) years of experience in marketing, in a reputable organization
  • An impeccable record of integrity

Desirable Requirements   

  • Specialized training in content creation and editorial skills
  • Specialized training in graphics designing
  • Experience in Brand management
  • Experience in Project management

Knowledge   

  • Awareness of legal and ethical considerations in branding and marketing, including intellectual property rights and advertising regulations.

Special Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to design and effectively market products to all applicable market segments.
