Spear Motors Ltd is the Sole official distributor for Daimler AG of Stuttgart, Germany the manufactures of Mercedes Benz. It is also the official distributor for other legendary brands like Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Great Wall Motors (Wingle double cabin and Hover Station wagons), Kinglong Buses and Deutz Fahr Tractors.
Job Summary: The Sales Manager will be expected to analyse current sales figures, develop effective sales techniques to boost sales performance. You will also be responsible for hiring and training talented sales staff. Our ideal candidate should have at least 07 years of automotive experience and an impressive track record of closing and retaining customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and undertake initiatives to increase the market share in existing markets and maximize business development opportunities.
- Plan and undertake promotional initiatives to achieve revenue targets, profitability and sales growth.
- Assist the Managing Director and Director Finance and Administration to collect and analyze sales statistics to determine sales growth of the company.
- Ensure proper follow up of all potential buyers by developing, implementing and monitoring a prospecting and sales control system.
- Present and sell new vehicles to current and prospective clients and ensure sales targets are routinely achieved, track progress and lead the team to achieve and exceed set sales quotas.
- Drive alignment by connecting sales functions to marketing, technical, supply chain, manufacturing and other key business functions.
- Hire, train, coach, motivate, prepare sales commission, monitor sales performance and ensure sales staff understand and follow dealership policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and lead scheduled sales meetings.
- Maintain an accurate daily log that reflects all monthly vehicle sales.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction to increase retention and referrals to drive repeat vehicle sales.
- Keep accurate records of existing and prospective customers within the CRM platform to effectively guide sales processes.
- Prepare and administer annual operating budget for the sales department.
- Develop advertising campaigns and other promotions and prepare sales proposals, presentations and contracts.
- Review the inventory daily to ensure proper mix of vehicle stock for maximum turn and efficiency.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree or BBA with a strong bias in marketing
- Chartered institute of marketing (CIM) or Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM)
- At least seven years of experience in a sales role at a dealership
- Excellent knowledge of auto sales and marketing
- Excellent knowledge of manual and computerized sales systems.
- Proficiency in computer use, including computerized sales software.
- Proven experience in effective sales strategies and best practices.
- Interpersonal, public relations and communication skills.
