Based in Kampala, Uganda, we provide affordable (PayGo) electric two-wheelers to low-income motorcycle-taxi drivers, most known locally as “boda-boda ”drivers. We offer a battery swapping service to our clients, enabling to swap within minutes at any of our stations.
Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Repair Center Intern to join our team at Zembo. The intern will assist in addressing client motorbike repairs, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced repair center environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with Repairs: Help technicians in diagnosing and repairing motorbike issues.
- Customer Service: Greet clients, understand their needs, and provide updates on repair status.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing and organizing spare parts and tools.
- Quality Control: Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standards.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant technical or vocational program.
- Basic understanding of motorbike mechanics is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
