About Client
Our Client, a leading provider of I.T Solutions and Office Automation equipment in East Africa, is seeking to hire a HR Business Partner for their Uganda branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct annual manpower planning to meet business needs.
- Manage the interview and recruitment process.
- Maintain updated information on the organization’s structure.
- Address performance issues, including Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and probation.
- Prepare performance and productivity reports related to HR interventions.
- Identify training needs in collaboration with Senior HR partners.
- Handle staff administration and legal matters.
- Manage separations, contract renewals, work permits, and disciplinary matters.
- Oversee compensation, allowances, internal transfers, and bank-related matters.
- Compile monthly payroll advice.
- Maintain accurate organizational data for HR metrics.
- Prepare HR metric reports for the Board of Directors..

- Manage inpatient and outpatient medical schemes.
- Oversee staff welfare programs and schemes..
- Assist in developing and reviewing the Internship Policy.
- Collaborate with business heads to plan manpower requirements, conduct recruitment interviews, and manage performance.
- Identify training gaps and plan trainings with heads of business.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in a similar role. Preferably in a similar industry
- Working knowledge of Ugandan labor laws, employment legislation, and HR best practices.

- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, Analytical skills, Problem-solving skills
