Job Summary:   As an integral part of the Finance team, the job holder will have the responsibility to develop, implement & maintain an effective and efficient fully functional Revenue Assurance (RA) and Fraud management function that provides accurate and complete financial control.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Revenue Assurance and Fraud management activities.
  • Create Awareness and provide training.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual Revenue Assurance reports.
  • Identify, evaluate, implement & manage RAFM tools, policies, processes & staff.
  • Ensure accurate charging of tariffs and correct setup.
  • Provide insight and contribute to pricing, charging testing, product design, product launch, and promotions.
  • Identify leaks of funds and revenues.
  • Identify the need for, design & implement controls, alerts.
  • Managed stakeholder relationships.
  • Conduct investigations into leaks and errors to identify & eliminate root causes.
  • Act as an investigative internal consultant to improve financial flows and revenue tracking.
  • Review expense and revenue processes to ensure their integrity.
  • Manage relations with all stakeholders in terms of RAFM & Risk.
  • Review expense and revenue processes to ensure corporate profit levels are accurate.
  • Develop a RAFM and risk roadmap.
  • Develop and implement a Revenue Assurance and Fraud Strategy aligned to the Group RAFM strategy.
  • Create and maintain a risk register for all identified and potential risks.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting).
  • A business-related Master’s degree will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years Revenue Assurance (hands-on) experience in a big company.
  • 8 years audit, finance or business experience.
  • 4 years Telecommunications industry experience.
  • Experience and training in management accounting, lending/credit management, profitability and cost management gained from a financial, banking and/or micro-lending background.
  • Knowledge of lending, credit and risk management including pre-loan eligibility requirements, collateral, loan approval processes, repayment terms and incentives, delinquency, and default management.
  • Ability to set and deliver business goals.
  • Ability to set, monitor, and assess achievements against performance targets, quality standards, and service agreements.
  • Advanced skill in local regulatory, statutory and Board reporting.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to carry out instructions and instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, speak clearly to third parties and employees
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to adapt and work cooperatively and effectively in different situations and teams to carry out assigned task.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, train, and foster the development of direct reporting staff, providing feedback, support, and encouragement.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with individuals and the team as a whole.
  • Excellent organization, delegation, performance management, and time management skills
  • Ability to motivate others by personal role modeling, professional credibility, and trust.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with no supervision at all while performing duties
