Job Summary: The main duty of the Gym and Spa Manager is to take leadership of the department while offering highest standard of services and in a professional manner while taking lead in developing strategies to increase sales in the department, attract and retain membership and repeat business, ensure proper use of equipment in the department as well as staff performance managing and wellbeing in the department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Gym and Spa manager, shall be responsible for selling the Gym and Spa services by effectively marketing them with in-depth understanding of Méstil Hotel and Residences target market.
- Develop strategies and actively participate in attracting new membership and retaining old membership and repeat businesses while maximizing revenue producing opportunities related to Gym and Spa services and establishing a loyal clientele via your committed and dedicated staff
- Take leadership in managing staff in the department including their performance, work scheduling, staff training and development, staff welfare and wellbeing to ensure that the team are motivated to do their work. The manager should have knowledge in the Gym and Spa and be in position to always support in case of staffing shortages during peak hours
- A gym and Spa manager shall ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations including implementation of comprehensive standard operating procedures, conducting regular safety audits, and instituting a rigorous program of training for staff to ensure they understand and adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Take key responsibility in maintenance of equipment by timely reporting defects in the Spa and Gym section for repairs to be done and through collaboration with the Maintenance department to continuously monitor and report defects in machines and equipment from the department.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A degree or diploma in health science and sports, Spa and Gym Management, physiotherapy, Cosmetology or related field
- At least four years of hands-on experience in a high end Spa and Gym setting, preferably within a 4-5 star hotel and residences at middle or senior management level
- Practical knowledge and experience in Spa and Gym Management
