About Organisation:
Safe Way Right Way is a registered Non-Government Organization focused on the improvement of road safety through innovative interventions and collaborations with multi sector stakeholders.
Job Summary: As the General Manager. you will play a pivotal role in advancing SWRW’s mission and ensuring its effective operation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Mandate Execution and Compliance:
- Execute SWRW’s mandate with integrity and diligence.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Establish a robust governance framework aligned with organizational values and standards.
Resource Mobilization and Financial Management:
- Develop a sustainable resource mobilization model.
- Practice transparent financial management.
- Identify and mitigate risks. including fraud and corruption.
Stakeholder Management and Thought Leadership:
- Strategically engage with stakeholders with shared values and objectives.
- Provide thought leadership on road safety matters.
- Collaborate with government bodies and sector partners.
- Professionally manage the daily operations of SWRW and performance management of staff.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferable in fields such as Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Advanced Degree or Certificate in any of the above fields or in Project Management. Road Safety Management. Transport Engineering. or a related area can be an added advantage.
- At least 8 (eight) years’ experience in a senior leadership. 5 of which should have been in Public Policy and Advocacy, Stakeholder Management, Public Health and/ or Resource management.
- Proven track record of managing medium to large programs. including planning, monitoring, and evaluation: fundraising as well as managing grants/ members’ contributions.
- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
