Safe Way Right Way is a registered Non-Government Organization focused on the improvement of road safety through innovative interventions and collaborations with multi sector stakeholders.

 

Job Summary: As the General Manager. you will play a pivotal role in advancing SWRW’s mission and ensuring its effective operation.

 



Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Mandate Execution and Compliance:

  • Execute SWRW’s mandate with integrity and diligence.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Establish a robust governance framework aligned with organizational values and standards.

Resource Mobilization and Financial Management:

  • Develop a sustainable resource mobilization model.
  • Practice transparent financial management.
  • Identify and mitigate risks. including fraud and corruption.

Stakeholder Management and Thought Leadership:

  • Strategically engage with stakeholders with shared values and objectives.
  • Provide thought leadership on road safety matters.
  • Collaborate with government bodies and sector partners.
  • Professionally manage the daily operations of SWRW and performance management of staff.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferable in fields such as Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Advanced Degree or Certificate in any of the above fields or in Project Management. Road Safety Management. Transport Engineering. or a related area can be an added advantage.
  • At least 8 (eight) years’ experience in a senior leadership. 5 of which should have been in Public Policy and Advocacy, Stakeholder Management, Public Health and/ or Resource management.
  • Proven track record of managing medium to large programs. including planning, monitoring, and evaluation: fundraising as well as managing grants/ members’ contributions.
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
