They cater to both small and large customers with a wide range of products across diverse categories. Their operations include a concrete products factory, a stone quarry, a fleet of heavy transport trucks, and a ready-mix concrete plant. They employ around 150 skilled and unskilled workers and strive for excellence in all our business ventures.
Job Summary: Our client is are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven General Manager to primarily oversee our trading division of building materials. The successful candidate will work with existing structures to enhance efficiency, drive business growth, and ensure continuity. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in managing diverse business operations and a proven track record in leadership.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the building materials trading division.
- Set and implement strategic goals for business growth and operational efficiency within the trading division.
- Manage budgets and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of employees within the trading division.
- Drive operational improvements and innovations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience in managing multi-business operations.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven track record in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
- Experience in the construction and hardware industry is an advantage.
